ABOUT
Long distance riders join together to share their experiences as they ride across the continental United States of America. This challenge is to visit the most listed food destinations of interest (RTE's) and various points of interest (POI's). The RTE-X-USA challenge will start on January 1, 2024 and end on December 31, 2024. Destinations will be announced December 31, 2023 by map. Accumulate 1 point by submitting your picture with your motorcycle and of the destination sign...a selfie maybe required at some locations. Get a second point for a representing picture of a food item or a sufficient picture of yourself while visiting the destination during open hours. Riders will have to research the open hours of the establishments to pick up the second point. Verified Long Distance Rides (LDR's) over 1000 miles in 24 hours with at least one RTE will be 1 point and 1500 miles in 24 hours with at least one RTE 2 points. Note: RTE's to qualify not POI's. Earn "FAT" status with 5 RTE's on 1000 miles in 24 hours or 3 RTE's or more on a 1500 miles in 24 hours (no extra points). Optional: Customize an Iron Butt Association certificate with a description of your RTE-X-USA ride and request the RTE-X-USA 2024 logo on it. POI' can be included in the Description. *Again IBA certificates will be worth 1 point. Again there are various points of interest (POI's) identified with values of 1 point and a few labeled in black for 2 points. All three categories RTE's, LDR's and POI's will score either 1 or 2 points and the certificate category worth 1 point per certificate. There will be four quarters this year, dates listed below. Riders will self score by the period upon the riders posted destination pictures. Be the RTE-X-USA Winner of 2024 by eating your way across the USA. Win recognition among friends and riders. Top riders will be announced quarterly throughout the year with top riders winning gas gift cards* (*participating eligible riders). Top period points rider will receiving $300 in cards, second $200 and third $100. The top rider at the end of the year will get a trophy. By participation riders acknowledge that motorcycling is inherently a dangerous activity that can result in death or serious injury and that the administrators or Riders are not liable or responsible for you on your self guided rides and tours.
